Lord Shree Vishnumaya Chathan Swami and Devi Temple is a well known ancient place of worship located at Peringottukara in Thrissur district, Kerala. The Deity of this temple has been worshipped by the ancestors of Eranezhathu Mangalathu Madam for over many centuries. Sri E. K. Vijayan Swami is the current successor and chieftain of the longstanding lineage. His father and forefathers were very famous oracles (velichappad & komaram – people who mediate between Divinities and human beings) of Avanangattil Kalari Sree Vishnumaya Chathan Swami Temple. Following the tradition, Sri E. K. Vijayan Swami has been the oracle (Komaram) since the age of 16 for the last 40 years. His son Vishnu is also following the footsteps of his ancestors in keeping the tradition alive.
Ritualistic prayers and day to day offerings to the main Deity of this temple has been happening since the time of Cheraman Perumal which has resulted in the Cosmic Consciousness Energy (Chaitanyam) to be at its peak. His grandfather Shri Konnan and his father Shri Ramankutty were very famous. Among these two, Shri Ramankutty has had the Divine experience of having the physical Darshan of Shree Vishnumaya Swami due to his sincere and selfless love towards him. This temple has the presence and blessings of Shree Vishnumaya Chatthan Swami and Kodungallore Devi. There are a lot of scintillating experiences and true stories of thousands of devotees who had come over generations to this temple and received blessings and grace of Shree Vishnumaya Chathan Swami and Devi resulting in solving various problems faced by them and leading a happy successful life thereafter.
Sri E K Vijayan Swami was born to Eranezhathu Mangalathu Madam, Son of Sri Kumaran on 25th November, 1957. After completing education up to S.S.L.C, he joined as the Karmi of Avanangattil Kalari Sree Vishnumaya Chathan temple. His son, Sri Vishnu is currently performing as the Oracle (Komaram) of the temple.
People from all religions both from and outside Kerala state comes and seeks the blessings of the Divine Swami. Eranezhathu Mangalathu Madam Shree Vishnumaya Chathan Swami and Devi temple provides solace to one and all and is a true Divine abode for everyone. Daily offering of prayers and worship to the main Deity happens two times a day. Devotees get the Special Darshan of Shree Vishnumaya Chathan Swami by afternoon 12. After having Darshan of the Deity, devotees receive words of Divine from the prophecies made by the Oracle solving various problems and alleviating their worries of the world. "Kalapattu" pooja is performed in the month of Mithunam and Tula twice. During this auspicious time, devotees get special blessings from Shree Vishnumaya Chathan swami. These are the days when Devotees get to have the Divine physical Darshan of Shree Vishnumaya swami. Another special occasion is “Thiravellattu” that happens in the month of Kumbha. During this time, a lot of special prayers are offered to the Deity where devotees present are showered with special blessings of Divinity. While performing these prayers and offerings, it is accompanied by various instrumental bands, offering of food to all (annadanam) charging the environment with Divine vibrations.
